BBK for F10

Dear all,

Can I have your input for th below matters,

I had always like yellow BBK on white car and recently thinking of having it fixed up onto my F10

Me set up currently is

Rims Miro 942 [aka BMW 313]
PS 2 tyres 19 X 245 Front, 19 X 285 Rear

I do not track, all I like is the out look.

Does any of you think it is stupid to spend this amount (Brembo BBK S$ 1X,XXX) for everyday drive just for the outlook?

Any of you think it might spoil the look of F10 with BBK?

Thanks in advance for all you comment

Re: BBK for F10

not worth it cos i feel that bmw brakes is quite good already
why dun you spray the original caliper yellow?
never put the brembo plastic cover cos it is bad for your brake performance

my 2 cents

I had the same tots for my 320i also. If I have lotsa money lying ard idling, I would go for it too. I did have this idea purely for aesthetics too. My friends say, 320 no power one, somemore I don go track, waste money fix bbk for wat? But most impt is I must like it and as long look nice, Im contented.

But the main crux of the issue is not so only the intial cost of installation but rather the cost of brake pads and rotors. My stock pads costs me 100++ and rotors at most 200++ for a pair. But for the Brembo GT BBK, a set of brake pads can set you back for 800++ a pair. This is way too much for me. So I have decided to stay stock. Save lotsa money.

But its your money, your decision. If you feel the initial cost and the upkeeping cost is way inside your comfort zone, by all means go ahead. Most impt you must be happy. Cheers and have a great weekend ahead!!!

Re: BBK for F10

Hi GerBaey,

Probably the best option for you is to get a set of slotted or cross-drilled rotol (not sure if there is any for F10 at this moment?). Sprayed the Caliper to the colour of your choice. Slam in a good set of brake lines and brake pads to enhance the braking power. Settled, swee swee

Whether you track anot, end of the day safety come first (if can stop earlier and on time why not, no harm) especially in sg alot of kuku driver, it can happen anywhere.........

BBK definitely will not spoil the look of the F10..........no worries
Probably if you install it, next time can still de-kit and sell when you are changing ride.

* go with your heart, we only live once............................
cheers

Re: BBK for F10

Brembo is the best!

Ordered for my own car.......hehe

Who wants Brembo GT BBK??

MTL

F10 front kit is 1Nx.8509A 6pot monoblock with 365x34mm rotors, rear kit is 2Px.8040A 4pot monoblock with 345x28mm rotors.

Note : If install rear kit, the 'Electronic Handbrake' function will be disabled. Car will still be able to use the normal 'P' mode to prevent the car from moving.
