would like to know if car will start if I leave it idle for 1 week as I will be going oversea for
assignment. any advice....

It all depends on the age/condition of your battery and what devices are connected to it even when your car is off. The ERP reader is one such device. items like ICE amplifiers will also draw a very small amount of current even though its off. 3 weeks should be ok.
