Audio cables as GROUNDING cables?

Guys, not to worry. The heat in the engine bay will never reach the point of melting the insulation of the cables (unless you route the cables on the exhaust manifold) These cables are good and thick enough (assuming you use 4 GA). If you like some thing more heat resistant, I have some welding cables that I use for grounding too that is insulated with rubber instead of the vinyl covering most audio cables. But then again becos the cables are for grounding, it does not matter even in the cables are not insulated cos they do not have any voltage potential between them and the the rest of the car.

I'm using those power cables (forgot ? GA, but will get back say tomorrow) used for amps with no heating problem. I've done twice on 2 rides so far.
