Hi guys, thinking of driving up to Malaysia with my car. Think it's safe to do it or better to rent a car to go up north?

I think there are more blue propeller in Malaysia than Singapore. The only question is, are you street smart enough to drive 1 up north?

exactly, i have seen sg drivers, at petrol station driver door is open, engine is running and went to wash hand although it is just a few steps away

similarly, stop at 1-2am at road side to buy fruits ... sibei cheap ah!

Last time when train station is in Tg Pagar, i like to take it to Kluang & Lim kopi.

statistically quite safe lah.....
you can improve the odds by being more alert and street smart.
easier to strike 4d than get robbed or car jacked.

that said... I go in every day and I wanna see less sgp cars going there and jamming up the causeway (selfish reasons)

dont do it. i went only ONCE. got tied up beaten and robbed by a gang of female thugs on motorbikes. one of them pulled a gun and 2 others had samurai sword. lost my car, my wallet and virginity 5 yrs back. never been up north since.
