Whilst your 'spray the entire rim' is the best (most costly and time consuming) option, it is not true that the difference in color is evident, unless it is done badly.
Anyway, the last time Ray 'did' my rims for me, he didn't touch it up, he filed it down. This makes it very noticeable.

i had the same issue as u. did some touch up job, looks ok initially, after a few weeks, colour started changing. ended up spraying the entire rim. now swee liao.
you initially wanted it done on Sunday, its now Monday. Might as well do the entire thing?

I know PML charges $160. You shld be looking at anything below this at shops outside. They should be able to get the colour close. Go for reputable shops.
Suggest you ask the guy how close and to what level of finish he can get it to be before proceeding.

If the rim has a small hole causing air to leak, is it advisable to do a repair on that ?

hi silver,
if small hole and you normally dont drive fast and furious i think its ok to repair/mend. but this is just my humble thought only. other bro might have better advised. but how come your rim got small hole which cause the air to leak?? which part of the rim got hole??

The 1 hole is size of a ballpoint ink mark and is located at the tail end of the 5 spoke nearest the hub. This is likely to be caused by a pot hole which I hit a day earlier. Though I would have thought a hairline crack is more likely than 1 tiny hole.
Since it was leaking at the rate of 1bar per night, I changed the rims the next day though a tyre shop told me it can be welded back. Another one said, they use silicon to mend which i thought was unsafe.
