Any fellow Uob cardholders and Shell regulars?

UOB had probably been dropped by Shell and there will be no more further rebates given for pumping petrol at Shell with UOB cards... All redemptions of smart dollars will cease on 1st July.

Anybody using UOB cards and pumping at Shell? Where will you be switching to? I am thinking of going SPC with DBS card...

You are right. Hearsay from the Shell aunty redemption will end 30 June 2013. I'm hooked on Shell so I'm applying for HSBC and Citibank cards now!

So troublesome...i think i will just switch to SPC but i really find the Shell attendants at woodlands very friendly and helpful!

I was with Shell since 1998 and then they increased the number of points required for redemptions, then suddey had new conditions for accumulating points yada yada..so I throw the Shell card away and went to Esso.

But Esso pump attendants suck at service. All kay siao when a car drives in

Is shell that bad? I find it okay leh, i think 300 or 600 points can redeem $20 or $30 petrol liao, quite worthy... Most shell attendants are friendly too! I have been pumping shell since the first day i got my first ride...

I have never pumped at Esso before leh haha! What card u use to stretch the discounts?

This I agree...most of the stations I went to the attendants were fast to help u pump petrol and also were all smiles.. the last few batches before I jumped ship to Esso were mostly young PRC girls....

Esso all ah peks...

For Esso, if u have Citibank Dividend card, u get up to 25% discount.

Best card for SPC is POSB Everyday card.
DBS Esso card is best for Esso. (Edit: I may be wrong, it could be Citibank Dividend card as what MW mentioned.)
And yes, SPC has the better service than Esso.

I just called Citibank to reapply for Dividend Card... and I just realised that there's an Esso station closer to home than Shell - so, win win situation for me (if the Dividend Card gets approved!)

I think that time when I cleared my points there was a 600 points promo, just maybe a month ago? But ya lor miserable $20...
