Alpine White M3 Cab

Saw one today while travelling to work. I thought there's only one alpine white M3 in Singapore

Saw another silver M3 coupe with very loud exhaust blasting past the traffic junction just outside Bugis Junction.

Wow! 2 in a row within 5 minutes

One OT question Jack --> why do they wanna include so many shift options (S1 - S6) when the slower shifts are jerky? Does the parts wear out faster on the faster shift programs?

Yeah,
After driving the car for 1.5yrs ...I actually think it's quite useless to have S1-S2. They are just so slow in engaging gears. If u ask me, a normal steptronic is equivalent to about S4 of M3's SMGII....Similarly, I find A1-A2 are useless.

It's more of marketing hype from the M-Division. No other auto makers ( AFAIK) hv got so many options like these. Others are typically Normal or Sports.

But having said that, S6 + Sports Mode is lightening quick!
Imagine the S6 + Sports Mode on SMGIII........gotta be even better.

I m not sure the effect implication of various S-modes on the wear n tear. But I'd think it's minimal or if not, nothing at all. It's all software programming that allows the execution.

But for sure, multiple Launch Controls do shorten the lifespan of the clutch.

There is one true Alpine White M3....MRapture's....l love the colour so much, I had my car re-sprayed from Carbon Black to Alpine White II (C300).

Miu... I saw you driving past Carlton Hotel earlier in the morning. Your ride looks damn sweet. I didn't catch the rims though. I thought an alpine white cab with 19 inchers look sweet man. Mind if you post pics of your ride here?

Just picked up the car this weekend from Lim Yew Boo....and the weather has been so sucky ...plus i'm such a idiot when it comes to technology that it might take me a while to post pictures....i will try.

Looking forward to it...I'm doing a lot of research/surfing on this....Barry is helping me out alot....so far mine is more cosmetic.

Some carbon fibre stuff, new colour, trying to source a tubi exhaust..., VR Spec II plugs (thankashein TripleM!)....and debating on the Intake systems....

As for the intake, i'm looking at purchasing the aFe intake in the near future. From what i've read, it's the best one around for the E46 M3. Quoted US$680 shipped so the price is rather decent as well..
