Recently I've adjust the aircon temp to 20 degree and just nw while I was within for my wife in the car, I notice there's a 'tock' 'tock' sound comin frm the front. (engine bay I assume) the sound seems like somethin wan to open but unable to open. When I switch off the aircon, the sound is gone. Anybody face such issue before?

Hi bro,

I also just happen to get this similar 'tock tock'...and turned off aircon also no more..so its something to do with aircon believe.....

Anyother F10 bros? Any advise?

my e60 got no tock tock sound, but everytime i cold start the engine(early morning after parking overnight), it seems like the compression only starts to kick in after about 3 - 5 mins later.....so only room temperature comes out before that...

i brought to the workshop (my car under their warranty package), guy top up air con gas and cleaned compressor and condensers,etc....paid $100++, ask me to monitor, came back still the same...

mine sound similar to urs. seems like somethin is openin and closin. I notice this when car is at stationary for more than 15 mins

Its not always there....as its quite faint...like someone knocking on ur car window from the back...or something. No idea when it comes or goes...

Bro,try putting the temp higher. Better nt 2 turn aircon temp 2 max or too cold. Try it first b4 u send 2 workshop.

Now is 20 degree. I'll adjust to 21 degree tmr

Toping up is not everything. There's a ccertain pressure that the compressor has to operate to be optimal. There's a machine that does this at some shops.

Go to idrive -> climate -> make sure the body of the man is blue in colour

I also faced this problem too.

My heart pump faster whenever the sound surfaced.

I also get this faint sound too.
Sounds like some vent opening n closing. But doesn't really bother me cos it's very soft, not frequent, and I also experience it on my merc.

Yup I hv the tick tick sound when I was in temp 18..a loud sound coming out from the dashboard but after I adjusted to 22 the sound is gone...hopefully done forever...lol

Hi Bro, what is the main difference between body of the man in blue/red? I just had my air con cooling coil, filter, valve changed so was playing with the settings in I drive.

For me, I noticed that the air coming out from the vents is much powerful when it is in blue compared to red.
