Air in tyres

Re: Air in tyres

Ask the sales guy/gal?

Purified Nitrogen is dryer and therefore reactive, heating up slower gaining more control at Motorsports, lowers corrosion and keep air pressure stable.

You can read more here:
Filling tyres with nitrogen | AA

Nonetheless, you can mix nitrogen with the normal air. The air we pump is about 78% nitrogen anyway...

Cheers.

Re: Air in tyres

Welcome dlui.

How to know if tyre is filled with nitrogen... well since e air we fill into e tyre is 78% nitrogen (rvt say one), e answer is clear i.e. it is filled with nitrogen

Anyway u can trust the figure rvt stated.

To find out if the tyre is filled with pure compressed nitrogen... i think u have to check with e sales petson or previous owner if u r 1st owner or not 1st owner, respectively.

Nice first post... admin should sticky this.

Re: Air in tyres

when i replaced my tyres, tyre shop pumped nitrogen for me. using my own pressure gauge, i checked the reading at 260 all round, and 1 month later, did the same. still showed 260. i guess if normal air, would have dropped by then. perhaps a solution for you to find your answer.

What car are you driving again?
The recommended tyre pressure for the rear is a lot higher for the rear...
