Ok, I know there are 50 threads about air con, i'm lazy, shoot me

Here is the issue

the drivers side vents blow warm air, yet the passenger side blows cool air. I just cant work out why, doesnt make any logical sense at all. I know a few E46 have this issue and no one seems to know what the fix was/is.

I will go and get the gas changed and possibly the dryer/receiver, although I know that won't cure it, but it's time to do it anyway. Put flouro dye, mod air con gas, coool.

Anyone have this problem?

got this problem before... the air con gas is leaking some where... if i didn't remember wrongly.. the compressor is spoiled?? or is it condenser... got to check my previous bill invoice.. its goin to be quite a hefty bill.. had mine replaced at around 1.3K

CBS, document be a thread on this....maybe u can call/pm him on the damages, alternatively, u can call up the shop and ask for a ball park quote.

Had exactly the same problem (btw my compressor is relevantly new, replaced about 9 months ago), just topped up the gas about 3 weeks ago. So far so good at the moment. Will post again if the problem comes back....................touch wood, touch wood

wait, you had the problem 3 weeks ago and top up gas problem solvede? Or you had the problem 9 months ago, replace compressor and problem solved?

Replaced compressor 9 months ago.

Top up gas was 3 weeks ago when I had that problem as yours, so far so good now.

What I wanted to say is, if compressor is down (burnt your pocket), even your passenger side will not have cool air.

oh, that part i know

weird that only one side is warm though, considering it all comkes from the same ducting
