Air-Bag......

This could be caused by the airbag sensor in the seat. It's quite a common problem I think.

Yeah PML can sort it out for you, I think they might not even charge you for the repair. I got this problem on my E39 when it was about 3 years old and past the warranty period (then, it was only 1yr warranty). PML fixed this without charging because it was a known problem.

once the airbag light has come on one time, it'll always stay on until you reset the light, unlike any other fault lights on the dash.

RB then u mean i gotta send in to PML to let them check n reset as well uh?

thanks thanks....

or any outside bmw workshop also can. certain faults are temp electronic glitches, which may go away after you reset the car. but since the airbag light is special (it never goes away, even if the problem does, until you reset it), you need to go somewhere, pml or outside workshop, to reset it.

however, it could also mean a real fault of the airbag. something that needs to be repaired for your safety in case of emergency. if your car is still under warrenty, send into PML. If not better retrieve the fault code and see what exactly is wrong with it: real problem, or temp glitch.
