Do you know how much does it cost for 245/40/18? is it noisy and does it last long? ;)

Hi, I am not sure about the price, but I bought mine 255/35/18 around $355 recently. 245/40/18 should be cheaper.

But you can try to call this shop for price, no harm and they are very friendly!

Now, the noise level is very much better than Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics, may be due to nitrogen gas. But FK452 is really excellent tyres if you like to accelerate, especially when you are on hard corner...very accurate and sharp. For me, no regret. Other falken, I will not recommend!

Re: Advice on tyres

I am running 235 fr 265rear in my e92.

I tested it in the dry and wet, uphill downhill. Previously I have used ps2, gy asym, brigdestone gr90. All these cannot come near to the satisfaction level I am getting from my current csc 5p.

its not a cheap tyre but i had no regrets. I ve driven in the wet(after rain) on NSH at up to 180kmh. it does not even fail the least. fantastic tyre.

btw csc 5p is used oem on AMG Merc and also Aston martin if i am not wrong. therefore u cant go wrong.

Good thing dont come cheap.
no such thing cheap and good.
Value for money is subjective
A cheapo tyre on low cost car is value for money

Re: Advice on tyres

Get a good quality tire at good price which lasts & performs well. No such thing as a cheap performance tire.
Never sting on tires. They are only point of contact with the road & makes the difference when braking. Go for Michelin PSS or Conti CSC5. Bet u no regrets.
I'm on Michelin PSS 19" staggered. Grips like super glue & v lasting wear.

Re: Advice on tyres

Best value for money with 90+% of the performance of PSS and CSC5 are the GY Asym 2 and HK s1 evo.

I've no experience with the HK but my experience with Asym 1 was good - the dry and wet grips (especially cornering) are very good, ride is comfy, stayed relatively quiet when worn and lasted me 40,000km with 2mm to wear indicator.

Now on Asym 2 and grip, ride comfort and quietness are same as Asym 1, with a little bit more feel in cornering and improved braking distance. Best is they cost me $350 each at 245/40R18 size, about $100 less than PSS or CSC5.

For 190, GT Radial is not bad. Quite quiet. I am using 235 Front and 265 Rear. Never heard of Westlake.

Re: Advice on tyres

West lake is the name of a popular restaurant in Farrer Road.

Re: Advice on tyres

Is West lake made in China? 西湖牌轮胎。

Re: Advice on tyres

IMHO, I was diligent in replacing my tyres every 2 yrs regardless of how much rubber left.

I only trust Michelin regardless of the cost.

Tyre is the only contact btw car & road.
