Advice on accident claim

My car suay suay last week kana banged by another car at the butt, bumper dented. The best part, my car was parking in the basement carpark and I didn't know of the accident until after lunch when I got back to my car, I noticed there was a dent on the right rear bumber. Th other car owner was honest enough to leave her namecard on my windscreen. Well her car after the accident, cannot start, had to be towed away. Btw her car is altis corolla.

Now I am gg to send my car down for repair at PML. I called last week to MSIG (my insurance) and asked for replacement car, they said no. I am claiming thrid party from NUTC insurance. As this is my first suay accident, am I entitled to a replacement car or cash compensation for loss of car usage in lieu? Do I need to push for PML to get the money? Hope no need to go there bang table.

seow ! i think PML not specialize to do 3rd party claims unless u go bang table. If the owner signed a letter stating her fault, you shld just go to authorized MSIG workshop or if urs under "Any workshop" u shld go to those kns "specialist" they will give u cash $500 - $2000 before the claims - dun say i say one.

icic, learning experience for me..MSIG told me die die must go back PML..hvnt check my insurance policy. Anyway NTUC will compensate daily 90 bucks..

Bro,

My experience with pml claim sucks,they are not pro-active not hard-up for ur claim esp third-party.
I was banged at the back at a traffic stop, even with police report, wanted to claim the other party, pml's advise was claim my self first then claim the other car ??? Why because they just want to be paid fast, less paper work, less headache.

Go to a reliable workshop, they will swee swee do everything for you, they did for my case. Which was a clear cut bang rear incident, they other driver kanna minus 4 points for dangerous driving.

Done last week without any fuss. Claim third party. Service level wise, I think not the best but also not the worst I have experienced...

Dear Bro,

your contractual relationship is with your insurance company not PML. So all communications or requests has to be send to your insurance company. PML do not have a relationship with you till you send in your car and they have accepted the car; so till the point of the accident they have the rights not to entertain you...less the point that you are still a BMW owner and they doing customer service....

Since you have gotten your daily payout from 3rd party insurance then at least you are at ease for the expense you will be incurring during this period of time. But remember that all communications are to be in black and white to your insurance company to prevent dispute. Read thru all your policies in detail on your rights and their duty to ensure you are getting what you insured for. Lastly, DO NOT sign the discharge voucher which PML will give you to sign at the end of the day unless you are really satisfied with the repair. Once you sign, you carry all the risks and no recourse is posible unless you can prove your valid point which will be a uphill task.

You have one more option in your hand i.e. claim for accident claim, consult to the solicitor, he will guide you about procedure, through that you can opt for it.
