Advice neede on used Z4

Hi guys,

Its been quite some time since I drove a Bimmer. Am looking at this 2012 Z4 23i.
Used BMW Z4 Car for Sale in Singapore, Cars & Stars - sgCarMart
2.5litre 6 engine but power at 204bhp looks a bit weak. Any feedback from current
owners on this variant? Asking price of 226k is on the high side too.
Is the new twin scroll turbo engine in latest model worth waiting for?
My advance thanks for any informatin that may help me understand more about this car

Depends on what you are looking for in a car.
Z4 is probably the nicest looking roadsters in comparison with an SLK or a TT.
I'm just in a state of ultimate bias mode sorry.

Back to your question, Yes i believe 226k is on the high side. Taking into consideration that it is a PI car..
There are pros and cons owning the N/A and twin scroll turbo version of the E89.
The N/A I6 engine sounds super grunty and awesome while the N20 I4 sounds a little like a taxi. You can litterally hear the tik tik tik tik sound during cold start ups.
& I wouldn't say the the 2.5i looks a bit weak, later AC323 destroy you. I'd say the E89 N20 loaded engine is a fun thing to drive, punchy torque and good pickup. Easy power gains through a simple piggy tune.

But it all comes to what you really want.
If you're looking for power,better fuel economy and wouldn't mind the I4 engine sound go for the N20 e89s.

The N20 engine variant is what I really wanted but due to current crazy prices I went for a used 23i.

Power is negligible.. but still a very sweet car to drive. If budget allows I'll recommend the 28i for a good balance of power, road tax savings and better fuel consumption.

23i is weak, but good enuff for normal driving.. if u have a thirst for speed, then get the 35i..

either way, it is a gorgeous looking car

Lifestyle car no need to worry too much on the 0 to 100 ...........
just slam in a nice sets of wheel and remember to lower it.............

This 2012 23i like a bit low spec for a 2012. No idrive nor electric seat?

N20 is great in sedan where you don't hear what is outside. N20 is not so great if you are sitting outside the car, which in a way, you are, on the z4.

Don't worry about Bimmers man. There's a lot of workshops out there able to service/fix the car..
23i would probably do 0-100 in 6-ish seconds?
28i does it in 3.5seconds.

The dealer is Cars and Stars. Said warranty on the car is 3 year/60k km and is covered by themselves. Anyone has past experience
with them?
checked out...a pi unit is about $235k .. does this sound right?

The BMW Z4 is a rear-wheel drive sports car by the German car maker BMW.
But it depends on the cars condition accessories that how much miles it have been drive. check all the things before buying.....
