hamann,

Yes, you do need to realign. More for the back wheels. The front do not need realignment. It has to do with the camber angle.

Topaz Blue NOT maligned...

better to go for alignment, you can try riverview or keng tiong autos at sin ming 1st floor, or any others since the machine is largely the same. some places simulate weight by placing sandbags in the car. alternatively you can just kun in your car when they doing alignment. hahahah

Where is this place you are talking about?

What will happen if no alignment done? I upgraded my stock 16" to 18", did not do alignment, and did not feel anything amiss leh..

tategoi, as far as I know, 5er has negative camber, if it is not aligned within the spec, you may get accelerated uneven tire wear.

I just had mine done (E39) at Riverview last Friday, Kenny (90921015) is a very friendly guy.
