Look at the piston mass then and compare it to now...

Notice the exhaust manifold design that along with all other true race systems, and opposite of nearly all aftermarket "race" conversions, sacrifices response for true flow (power).
Notice the extremely burly connecting rods.

Even flow to the wastegate is in dissociated cylinder pairs

Somewhat older laydown version, no TPS on the pre-compressor TB.

Look at the size of the heat exchangers. Both are the vertical core design.
