Hi, just head on to BVO & talk to Bernard about the Obit ll..sure to feel the power increase..

Re: 523 ecu mods

How does Obit work? Does the tuner have to make manual adjustment for each car? If so, how can he do it without a dyno/rolling road? There is no way you can tune by the seat of your pants!

Re: 523 ecu mods

they tune "by the seat of their pants" by aiming for a particular afr for different load points, which should academically give you the best power. The on-road driving is only a real-world test, to give you the real-world loading, and to see if there's any kinks/bugs that would make the car jerky, for example.

i'm not sure if obit 2 can tune vanos besides afr and ignition points. but it's definitely much more affordable by half. one is a piggyback, one is a reflash.

Re: 523 ecu mods

I imagine that that can't be too accurate, even with an on-road test drive. As totoseow has mentioned elsewhere, playing around with AFR only will not give you the best results. I think your consumption will go up because you end up running too rich most of the time. You need to play with the other variables to take advantage of more fuel otherwise it is just wasted and end up with higher consumption.
