I think almost all Rolexes are copied. I do not dig Rolexes but I have seen two Explorer II side by side. I cannot tell which one is real and which one is fake after 15 mins.

Doesnt matter real or fake. Happy can ler. End of the day, as long as the real lolex know that he can walk into a pawn shop and get some cash out for emergency is enough.

My take on this from another angle.

I was told during a rolex conversation while a group of friends were drinking. Apparently one tow kay was having too much of a drink and say the lolex his is wearing is a replica (a close one though) bought from Thailand and nobody believe him.

Lesson learned is that opinions about the genuinely of the watch depends on the status of the wearer. Hard truths but it seems logical.

Yes, I agree - not the watch, but the wearer. Same (il)logic of "not what you know, but who". Sad, but true.

That's why when I turned up for a meet up sometime back, someone said "can't be him - must be his godson". Not my fault I'm born handsome, okay!
