Hello all...am looking to get a YOM 2007/08 2nd hand but caught between the 320 & 325.

Been reading a lot recently, are there really a lot of issues with the 320s?

Comments greatly appreciated!

No need to think, if you are looking @ 325i, go for it. The 320i is no match.

Re: 320 or 325?

Just got a 323 v recently. It is a nice car. Alr felt e diff between a 320 n 323 during test drive. Minor wear and tear happens, but surprisingly buying oem parts from stockist is just as affordable as my prev wrx n Mitsubishi R. And been reading abit abt the 323 having so,e chip device to tweak up the bhp. Mine is stock, but really comfy.

Re: 320 or 325?

IMO the servicing cost is comparable to evo for normal servicing, consider evos do oil change at 5k. ;)
Parts wise I just did a change of shocks, lower arms, full F&R brake system. Will say stock parts prices are pretty consistent with an evo cost

Re: 320 or 325?

Actually the depreciation seems quite consistent with what I paid for previously. As for power, I always got 320 poking my backside so can't comment on that

thanks bros!

325i seems to be more stable and has less issues than 320i to my knowledge but i may be wrong.

Is maintenance much higher for the 325? What is the average servicing costs? I was paying ard $200-$300 on my evo/gti before. Is it comparable?

Also, i chanced upon this unit for sale but price seems too good to be true?

Re: 320 or 325?

E90 320i can't even overtake lorry. 325i is line 6 better performance.

Re: 320 or 325?

Both maintenance & amount of wear & tear should be similar for all E90s.

6 cylinder definitely better drive over the 4, standard servicing is usually around the range of $200 & most of the time lower.

Best is send your ride to workshop to check out condition before signing.

Good luck.

Re: 320 or 325?

Ya. You really should get the IL6. It is really so different from a 4 Cyl engine. I also did the switch about 2 years ago... never looked back. Waiting for you to join the club bro :D
