I bought a 2005 320i with about 30,000 km on the clock from the official BMW dealer with a 6 months warranty. I am aware of the notorious oil leak issue. The dealer under warranty is replacing my oil sum gaskets and head gaskets.
I was told that the key causes of oil consumption is due to the clogged PCV or valve seats leak, and requires changing valve seats and pcv. Has any one experienced a need for replacing piston rings for this matter?
