18" rims to 19" rims for 335 sedan

Collected the car yesterday and drove it for couples of km before switching to 19" forge rims and non-RFT PS2. The difference is very great in term of handling the PS2 are far more comfortable and grippy then stock. Because of the weight of the original rims you will feel that it is heavier in feel but the forge rims will give you better accelerration but initially you just don't feel confident in the car because of the weight but once you get use to it then you will be ok with it.
The 335 should always be driven in the sport mode it just give you better control of the car. If you are a person who wants to feel confident all the time then my suggestion is to get a rims that is heavier and not too light even original forge rims from BMW are heavier. I am running 235 and 265 behind ride is beautiful. The M suspension I personally still felt a bit soft for me so I will be probably looking at anti-roll bars to twitch the chassis a bit to make it more rigid.
I will later give my feed back of the 335 against my wife S3.

Hi benz61, I'm very interested to see what you say in comparing the S3. I had tried an S3 (stock suspension and engine) before ordering my 335 and I would not have changed the ride of my old E46 320 for the S3. More power, but very wobbly, the 17" CSC2 were lousy. It understeered substantially and you had to use the quattro to get you safely through a hard driven curve. Let's see what is your opinion.

Thanks guys I will definite find some time to do that. Actually i quite like the M suspension except the ride height. This morning when I went over a hump I think I hear the back scrapping a bit. Not very sure about that will have to monitor for a while. Going to change the air filter tomorrow will add another 10 rwhp.

What's ur stock height from bottom of car to the ground? And what CAI are u getting? I changed to K&N and the car is a bit more revy at mid to high rpm.

I have not measure the height yet . The CAI I am using is by BMC they already have someone that did a dyno on it. I personally use the BMC for all my car never regret it.

Benz, thanks for the photos of your beautiful rims. Can you tell us what is the brand of your rims? What is the offset for the front and rear? 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 9.5 rear ? Look almost like the Volk ME to me!

Re: 18" rims to 19" rims for 335 sedan

Interesting! Do take photos of the BMC filter in ur car! It seems like once u remove your stock box, u will be able to fit in the strut bar!

Currently, there is no strut bar available to fit on the 335i due to the position of the stock airbox.

Get coilovers and sways if you want better handling around bends. Congrats anyways.

Yes I am running 19 x 8.5 ET31 front and 19 x 9.5 ET 27 rear.

You told me the brand is Schmeiden? ET27 for the rear, do you have to roll the rear fenders? quite likely I think.

Hi Jadis so far I have only heard once , the rear is rubbing . Can I know what is the minimum offset for the rear in order for the back not to rub. Who can do a good job on rolling fender.

You ordered from Leong Seng? Daniel was proposing this brand to me......

Anyway, go to Lye Design for a fender roll........
