I have a friend looking at a 1 year old X1.

The number plate is SKD 1198 D.

I was wondering if anyone knows of the histroy or anything to look out for this particular car?

The plate number must be changed. I assume this will be a sdrive18i. Back in mind that it will be underpowered. Better try to find sdrive 20i the one with turbo engine.

I think the Sdrive 2.0 seems not selling well. I don't see many on the road.

Any question, why no PI sells X1 now?

Bro, it is because almost the same price as 5 series. Most ppl will go for 520 with the difference of maybe less than 10K.

Thank you... I initially look at the X1 and now also see it does not worth it. Too expensive for a small car like that.

It's really depends on what you want. X1 gives you a different feeling. SUV is an SUV. I personal perfer X1 s20i than 520. But if you look at the new 3 series they are also almost the same price as 520.

I just booked my X1 sdrive20i over the weekend. Very good deal, when compared with the 3 series and 5 series. Can't wait!

Care to share how good the deal is? Price remains at 217.8k right? Nett price abt 184k includes overtrade n cash rebates? Comes with navigation? Can PM me if not convenient.

Comes with i-Drive and navigation. Price wise, it is more than 30k cheaper than the 320 (which was my other option). In my opinion, its not worth while to pay the 30k for a car with similar spec and similar OMV (same engine, same gearbox, i-drive, navigation, etc). I think 184k is about correct, but best part is the 4% cash rebate, which means that if you take a 4 year loan (at1.88%), you are effectively not paying any interest.

Try to get the test drive for X drive 2.0 if it is available. It give u much better in terms of hadling and road holding. I have mine confidently headed in to any corners.

Looks like there is a big promotion going on. When I have my X1 s20i it was the same price as 523........ half year ago.....
