Not my lucky day. Car couldn't start this morning and I had to tow to a local workshop to replace the starter motor. Think I kenna carrot liao. Workshop charged me $390 for the motor, and $180 for labour. Eng Soon sells the part for $200. I understand that workshop needs to mark up on parts to...
As per title - considering getting the roof bar for the E90. Now that my 6mth old daughter is more ready to travel, need the additional space for stroller and stuff if travelling up north for holiday.
Anyone knows where to get and roughly how much?
Thanks in advance!!
Damn sian.... I've been having a stalling issue for awhile now. This happens only at idle and when then engine is warmed. Hasn't happened to me when engine is cold. I've had a couple of times it stalled on me at traffic lights and worse - when i was in a multi-storey carpark waiting in line on a...
Someone complaint I cut into his lane causing him to e-brake... But I honestly really, really have no recollection of the event as it was a very uneventful drive. Don't remember anyone horning or flashing or sudden braking leh... And since it was almost a month ago, my in-car video cam also...
It used to be 1ltr of oil top up every 6000km. Then it came down to 5000km. Then 4000km. Then 3000km. Now it's 1ltr of engine oil top up required every 2xxx km!!! Buay tahan! Plus with current COE prices, cannot buy new car leh! Sianz!
Workshop recommended engine valve seals change. Parts are...
I hated the original looks.... almost as if car suffering from a serious case of cock-eye....
Then with a little bit of this...
Turned it into this....
Fully DIY'ed with automotive-grade headlights tint. Total cost about $10 bucks...
Had a low coolant warning this weekend. Topped it up and message went away. Did a little investigation and found a slight teeny leak at the following location (see pic). What surprised me even more was that it seem like a small crack at the metal joint!!
:ultrasho:
Wonder if anyone here...
Sigh! I had a very sick car this weekend....
Firstly, my aircon R134a refrigerant completely depleted itself on a weekend. So had to drive a hot car. Thankfully my wife saw the lighter side of things and commented that our sedan suddenly turned into convertible.
Anyway, took it to an aircon...
My rims are getting a little dull from all the abuse of daily use. Plus the immense amount of brake dust from a BMW certainly didn't help.
Would anyone here have any recommendations on where I can go to get my rims restored? And what's the ballpark figure on how much I'm expecting to spend?
Wah! These days must really install those in-car cameras! Some people can clearly be in the wrong and still insist that they are right!!

Finally got around to changing my shocks today - it's been squeaking for some time now....
Then, as my mech removed my rear tires..... Found a nail lodged into the track (which can be easily sorted out) and a bulge on the inner sidewall (super sian!!)... It almost looked like my tire had...
Just got a warning similar to this a few minutes ago....
e90 320i..... Car can still start and idles smoothly.... Just feel a significant loss of power when accelerating.... Hope I'm not killing the engine by driving home with this warning sign on....
Heeelllp.... =(
Just changed my headlight bulb to Ring Automotive's Xenon Ultima H7 on my E90. I must say that it's visibly brighter than my previous bulb! I'm pretty pleased with it for now....
On a seperate note, replacing the dipped lamp bulbs on the e90 was a little different from other makes... Access...
Just came back from my usual mechanic... my 5yr-old pre-FL e90 was found to still have leaks.... popped the under-carriage covers and saw oil leaks at the oil sump... and WORST! ATF leak around the ATF sump / filter housing! Grr.... So it's more $$$.
Anyone knows which type ATF is suitable...
Anyone tried this before?
My ride's almos hitting the 100k mark. I just emptied a bottle into my tank this afternoon before filling it up to 3/4 full - wanted it to be a little bit more "concentrated". Drove from SG to KL. Hopefully the distance and sustained driving will give it some real...
