Update: I've given up trying to adjust the side mirror. Nothing works. Crane neck is the solution!

When i flick the switch to the left, the mirror does not tilt at all.

I tried putting gear into R, wait for the left mirror to tilt then adjust it down further, but it does not stay in the same position the next time i reverse.
In fact, after i disengage the R gear, my normal position is now set lower as well.
Hahahaha!
I have a silly question.
When i reverse, the passenger side mirror will normally tilt downwards to allow me to see the kerb.
But for me, the tilting does not seem to go "low" enough and hence i still have to crane me neck to see the kerb.
Anyway to adjust it further downwards?
