The price of the 220i Coupe is $204K and the price of M235i is 240K..so for 36K more you get a much much better performing car with more equipment…i fail to see why anyone would go for the 220i...

Re: Will anyone buy the 220i Coupe with the M235i around?

Might still be a big deal to those who are concerned about depreciation....

Some just need the looks. Some will say who would pay for high bhp car in a place like SG (I heard this many times). Different strokes for different folks.

For me, M235i is pariah, ok I digressed

Re: Will anyone buy the 220i Coupe with the M235i around?

Nothing beat a REAL ///M.

Re: Will anyone buy the 220i Coupe with the M235i around?

By how much can one improve upon the 220i's performance, assuming a basic chip up to Stage 1 without changing any hardware?

Re: Will anyone buy the 220i Coupe with the M235i around?

Can we increase the 220i's performance numbers to match that of the 228i with a simple chip up?

Re: Will anyone buy the 220i Coupe with the M235i around?

Thanks! Chipping up the 220i should be a lot cheaper than buying the 228i.

Any idea whether PML will be bringing in the 228i?

BMS stage 2 can easily match that, but installation not that simple.

Most tuning box that just cheats the boost/maf/tmap sensors cannot, but you can easily get 220+hp out from it. Most of the new ones should have the rpm sensor already.

Many who have never tried turbo boost controllers, especially those who didn't had good experience with powerbox on the NA engines, don't believe a 40hp gain with a $800 product, but this is actually just a moderate increase.

I am using TMC.
