Travelling on which type of road have lower chances of getting stone chips?
(1) Expressway which will reach our destination faster?
(2) Small roads which will take longer time to reach our destination?

Re: What Type Of Road To Take?

all roads will kena stone chips. realy depends on how much road works goes on there. ECP for one has loads of small pebbles on the ground. at high speeds, the car in front might kick up a pebble or 2.

Take bus best. Let the bus windscreen take the stone chips.

But can stone be kick up by the car driving next to my car on the other lane but not directly in front of me?

I seems to experience this a couple of time even though there is no cars directly in front of me.
I already try not to drive to close to the vehicle in front.

i wun say chip free. previous ride had 1 or 2. it was after that did i take extra precautions.

1) if road is full of debris, i suggest u go slow. the wider u tyres the more it kicks up gravel onto the side of your side skirts. this is the portion which is not beneath the car but on the side.

2) stay far away from construction vehicles on the high way.

3) a bit of a hassle, but plan ur route.

Re: What Type Of Road To Take?

Chips free? It will be a miracle.

Its just a matter of time you get one unless you park your car in garage and never drive them.

Re: What Type Of Road To Take?
