An F10 523i having oil and coolant mixture due to a faulty heat exchanger

Check for excessive smoke (oil getting into the bores), coolant loss (coolant getting into the bores) and a mayonnaise effect in the oil (coolant getting into the oil).

Here we found that this E90 320i has a serious oil leaks and coolant leaks as you can see from the oil mess above.

Most oil and coolant leaks occur due to degraded engine gaskets, oil pan leaks, oil seals or bad connections. Also check for puddles from the place you parked your car.

If the problems are left untreated, repairs are not cheap. Contact us if you suspect any problems with you car

Faulty heat exchanger or oil filter gasket bad

Hi clemgoh.. it was due to both faulty heat exchanger and a bad oil filter gasket.

There was extreme pressure buildup & extreme temperature changes.. hence the rubber hoses which connects the radiator to the engine failed and caused leaks. This resulted in coolant leaking into the already existing oil leaks in the car. Thus caused the oil and coolant leak mixture

Perhaps we were not clear in the earlier post. Hope this clarified your question ..

Rear shock absorbers can leak causing the rear end of the car to feel loose and bouncy on humps.

Like many other components, overtime this continuous use will lead to general wear and tear and they will lose their ability to function properly.

Here we have an F10 with its shock absorbers replaced due to leakage.
