I want to trade in my Sep-05 523i, OMV 51K, COE 16K. What would be considered a good offer from the dealer? Thanks.

Re: Trade-in Price

hi chershen, if the selling price is 75.8K, how do you arrive at 63K?

Re: Trade-in Price

I think paper is 44k so 63 trade in is good. but at 63 u can sell open market easily.

Re: Trade-in Price

Thanks to all. Trade in saves me the hassle and I can negotiate a better deal on the new car at the same time.

Re: Trade-in Price

yes, keep your bargaining chip to buy and sell at once

6 months ago, I traded in my 523 with paper value of about $48 for $63k. The dealer sold the car for about 75k. I guess you can bargain a little more for trading in and now high COE. More used car buyers in the market.

Re: Trade-in Price

I think you can try your luck with those "namecard on windscreen" dealers. should fetch around $65-68k. but make sure u tell them to full settle your loan immediately or u won't release the car.

Re: Trade-in Price

HI bro im a broker i hav a dealer that can trade in ur car about 64-68k need to see the car...And u can also buy from him the cars as the cars he selling has very deal...

Re: Trade-in Price

think 65K is around the price now, depends on condition.. and no. of owners.

typically above 100K mileage.... prices are not so good.
