Sounds like a whole load of bullshit from Shell, to me.
Why even need to nitrogen-enrich fuel, when the combustion air is already 78% nitrogen?
The more nitrogen forced into the combustion mixture, the more NOx produced.
NOx is not good for the environment either .... espeically for fog-susceptible states like California. And to think Shell is introducing this in USA first and foremost.
They will withdraw this superfluous product sooner or later. Mark my words.
Just to think about all the regret R&D and investments ..... huh!
