One man's meat is another man's poison. I like Szechuan Dofu at UOB Plaza 1 and also Singapura restuarent. I dun like The Cliff. Lousy food in my opinion

Re: Recommended Restaurants and Restaurants To Avoid

Where abouts is "The Cliff"?

Re: Recommended Restaurants and Restaurants To Avoid

The Cliff is at the former Beaufort Hotel in Sentosa. Setting very nice, food so-so, price and service is horrendous. Went for birthday dinner, host spent close to S$2000 and they refused to waive "cake-age" of S$20 for bringing our own birthday cake + waiter pulled long face until we ordered some dessert from them (but still charged "cake-age"). Never ever going there again. My 2 cents worth :

1. Singapura ok what;
2. Les Saisons rox;
3. Sofra sux.

Places to go :

1. Ember
2. Buko Nero
3. L'antipasto
4. Kazu

Places to avoid :

1. Coq n Bull
2. Pepperoni Pizza (wait, including Sebastien's, doesn't that cover all the Les Amis restaurants at Greenwood?)

Re: Recommended Restaurants and Restaurants To Avoid

yes sorry perhaps i should have been a bit more accurate. the cliff food is good, not fantastic. but the setting really makes women a bit weak at the knees.

Re: Recommended Restaurants and Restaurants To Avoid

To celebrate Chelsea's victory, you can try Mellben (Block 232, AMK Ave 3 St 22). Best crab bee hoon in Singapore, perhaps. The zi char is nice. Call 6285 6762 to reserve (must reserve, else long queue).

Peace to the Reds !!!

Re: Recommended Restaurants and Restaurants To Avoid

I don't quite remember the bad places but the recommended ones will be:
1. My Humble House
2. Marmalade Pantry
3. Mag's Wine Kitchen
4. Oso
5. Gunther's
6. Akashabu (I was very reluctant to share this because the place is very small and I don't want the place to get anymore crowded. In my streak of generousity...
7. Overeasy
8. Sichuan Douhua
9. Uncle Leong's
10. Ivin's
11. Pepperoni's
12. Shima
13. Yoyogi
