"OIL SERVICE" staying lit

Just had the e46 318i delivered back from the dealer for servicing and brake fluid replacement. Both the clock symbol and "oil service" lit up when I put in the On position which prompted me to bring it in. Now they delivered it back and the clock symbol is gone but the the "oil service" still lights up when On. Did they not reset it? Btw the unit is preowned but just has 2k on the odo when I purchased it.

Appreciate feedback from those who have encountered this similar episode.

Cheers!

2k and you did an oil service+brake fluid replacement?

The inspection light will come on everytime you start the car together with a countdown meter. As long as your countdown meter doesn't hit 0 or somewhere near it, you are not due for servicing or inspection. The countdown starts from 25,000km down to 0km.
