OEM e46 suspension

Does anyone know if when there is no one sitting in the car of an e46 320i, should the front suspension on the driver side be higher or the passenger side higher or both level?

Reason is that just took out coilovers and looking at the car now it looks weird. The passenger side is much higher then the driver side. Did the installer put back upside down?

maybe slightly higher on drivers side, but shouldnt be noticeable. If on passenger side, hmmmm, maybe put the right in the left

Re: OEM e46 suspension

have put the car on level ground and did a quick check and the passenger side is definitely higher.

Re: OEM e46 suspension

in our market, stock e46 on oem suspension should have the right driver's side lower than the passenger side due to the battery, steering column, air-con in engine bay, exhaust system running on right side of the car.

original car was designed as left-hander with these parts designed on the right in order to maintain dynamics and balance with the left-hand driver.

in right-hand drive markets, the additional weight to convert the steering column and other necessary accessories eg. tranny and brake workings caused additional weight to be added to the right-hand side = right side sits lower.

hoped this clarifies the situation.
