How to know if my ride has bluetooth?

Hi guys... A noob question as i'm new and got myself a used e60 yr2006.
There is a phone button on the steering wheel but how do i know if my ride has bluetooth and how to start the pairing?

Any input is much appreciated

1. Don't trust the salesman if he says there is bluetooth.
2. Switch on your mobile phone's bluetooth and search for pairing.
3. If the car's bluetooth is on, it will show up.
4. If not, it doesn't exist.

i did use my phone to search but see nothing.
if no bluetooth... wonder what's the phone button on the steering is for ?!?!

For E60, I doubt it has Bluetooth, but I could be wrong. Best is to check via idrive, if nothing on the phone function, then u probably don't have it.

the button only works on those audio head unit that comes with bluetooth......maybe mass produce so no bluetooth HU the steering also have that button....lolz

Hi,

I also dint know my e60 has bluetooth till 6 months of buying it used. From i drive, go to communication. If you have bluetooth, you should be able to see from there. Alternatively is to search for device using your handphone. But seriously, after a while, i just prefer handsfree. The bluetooth when on will broadcast your whole conversation on the car so its kinda awkard when you have passenger and it eats up your hp battery.
