bro and sis.. do u guys have problem with your headlights?
check light on while blub still working fine...
internal wiring rot or damage...

how do you guys solve the problem?
change the whole set?
open up headlight and repair/ re wire??

any workshop to recommend?

Re: Headlight Problem

I think you first need to rule-out a simple bulb problem before going on to wiring. Did you change/mod any bulbs lately? If wiring problem need to get it corrected ASAP as could be a fire risk.

Re: Headlight Problem

bulb is ok... mechanic told me is wiring problem... the internal wiring had rot, which he say is common for conti cars...
because they dont do wiring issue, now im left with only 1 side of headlight and error check sound keep prompting "bong bong bong"...

Re: Headlight Problem

u should get a workshop to separate the wires to prevent them from touching n shorting and see if the lights still work.
if it still works, u can consider doing heat sleeves for the wires or tape em up so that u have a working headlight set again.
we do not do the heat sleeves portion but can pass u the contact for one of the workshops doing that

Re: Headlight Problem

Lookup sonic racing they sorted out my wiring issue as well look for steven

Hope you get the issue rectified soon. I wish I can provide some recommendations but I can't, apologies.

Now let me share my headlight problematic real experience (in point form) to cheer you up.

- Sometime in 2013... check light comes up, took a look, Right Xenon not working.
- Went to Bimshop, checked blub, working fine.
- Went to MA, checked, confirmed the Right Xenon Control Unit (balast) up the lorry.
- Ordered new unit as there was no stock.
- Unit arrived, replaced new unit at approximately S$740++ (before GST & labour) because the Right Xenon Control Unit (balast) no longer under warranty.

...... few months later in 2014

- Check light comes up, took a look, again Right Xenon not working.
- Went to Bimshop again, checked blub, working fine.
- Went to MA, checked, confirmed the Xenon Control Unit (balast) up the lorry.
- Ordered new unit because again there was no stock.
- Unit arrived, replaced new unit FOC since it is now under warranty.

...... 2 months later

- Check light comes up, took a look, again Right Xenon not working.
- Went to Bimshop again, checked blub, working fine.
- Went to MA, checked, confirmed the Xenon Control Unit (balast) up the lorry.
- Ordered new unit again because there was no stock.
- Unit arrived, replaced new unit FOC since it is under warranty.

...... 1 week later

- Check light comes up, took a look, this time is Left Xenon not working.
- Went to Bimshop again, checked blub, working fine.
- Went to MA, checked, confirmed the Xenon Control Unit (balast) up the lorry.
- Ordered new unit again because there was no stock.
- Unit arrived, replaced new unit at approximately S$740++ (before GST & labour) because the Left Xenon Control Unit (balast) no longer under warranty.

...... 2 weeks has gone by and I am hoping there's closure on this issue.

Lastly, I wish to thank Bimshop for the trouble I have given him to check 'is blub working or dead'.

Re: Headlight Problem

Just now realized while driving my left AE suddenly turn off and no longer light up anymore. There's on error or check light on, does it mean my AE bulb up lorry?

Re: Headlight Problem

Yes.

Or if its an aftermarket AE bulb then maybe its the capacitor attached to it ....... Or maybe connector.

Open it up and have a look.
