Hi all

Did any one of you take delivery of your car and realize that the interior trim was "wrong"?

Mine was supposed to come with "dark poplar grey wood" (according to specs list)but was given "brushed aluminium" instead:confused:

Thanks

Brushed Alu is usually standard if you want 'M-Sports'

BTW, Brush Alu is nicer than wood mah!! Duh!

Try swapping with fellow forumers here. Alum trim is in demand..........

Re: E92/93 Owners : Interior Trim

Wow! brushed aluminium trim is beautiful! I thought that trim is on M3?

Re: E92/93 Owners : Interior Trim

Thanks all for your comments!

Ya, as I ordered the M suspension/Steering, I suspect they then used the default M-sport package's trim without regard to what was initailly committed in the sales contract here in Singapore.

Initially, I was concerned with the Alum trim being:

1) too common?
2) too "cheap" in relation to $ compared with the wood trim

Then the SE tried to address my concerns by saying that:

1) this is the "brushed" trim and not the titan grey
2) she will try to help me seek reasonable compensation from her mgt

As it would be too heartpain for me to see my new baby go thru "plastic surgery" right after delivery, I agreed to (2).

Now wating for mgt's decision...

Re: E92/93 Owners : Interior Trim

Changing the trim is not difficult I think. All in may be 10 over pieces.

...but I am pretty anal...just afraid that some part of the interior will get scratched or become loose and produce rattles when I get my ride back:oops:

Re: E92/93 Owners : Interior Trim

if can dont change dont, changing means prying it out. You might not see it, but they will do it.

Not that scary lah.

The trims are secured by clips behind, no difference to those in E46s. Good workshops like BVO, J4C, SWC, Robson have done this day in and day out........

Re: E92/93 Owners : Interior Trim

Saw the CF trim for E90 at J4C, done by Robson. Quite nice! But need to exchange with the original one.

I CFed mine with Robson too. Why need to swap? Can CF original trims, bro.

I swapped my alum trims with someone's piano black trims, and received $250 in cash top-up. Effectively lowered my CF cost. Also demonstrated the popularity of alum trims.
