yeah ... middle class kena sandwiched again
i hope to see more help and generous budget on raising a child in order to up TFR
1. cheap and good childcare and near neighbourhood
2. extended hours childcare service so that parent don't have to rush like mad after work
3. low levy for maid - domestic helper where got economic value unlike FW
4. more baby bonus that is used for childcare, baby healthcare, etc

I feel it's a good budget. It's good to see the govt taking some tough measures to tax the wealthy more and forcing more prudence into owning of luxury things, especially high end cars. Curbing the loans is a good thing. So only people who can really afford these things should be buying them.
Encouraging that there is substantial wage supplements for companies employing Singaporeans
More help for the needy
More money for education

imho owner-occupied homes should not be taxed.
if like that, i rather stay in old folks home and ask government to pay.

I dun get ANY subsidies or rebates JUST BECAUSE I stay in a condo..and its not even a private condo..its an EC!
Further, is this Meritocracy?
I thot u reward on Merit? So being a cho bo lan is better in Sg then?
