As in how to be careful? Just make sure its tapped to cig/12v port and not directly to batt will do right?

just got out from 40k servicing. And the SA noted on the invoice that my car was installed with non-BMW car camera. Do you guys know which line item on the warranty will be voided henceforth?

must ask them but should be battery in best possible and electricals in worst case scenario.
I encountered warning "Battery discharging while stationary". Went down PML for regular servicing and consulted the SA. He mentioned is due to the dashcam and it coincides with my Ace 2.0 not working and functioning abnormally.
Quoted me $1400 for change new Ace 2.0 and same day replied me promotion $999 until feb.
Can i check if will void the warranty when i go to my engine oil servicing in future?

PML has become jittery recently ever since someone went on social media and badmouthed them after a car with an aftermarket cam caught fire.So , I wouldn't play if under warranty although technically it should only void battery warranty.

I have the same exact problem. He told me if I don't change the dashcam my battery will spoil and need around 2k to replace it too.
Funnily enough he purposely told me after my warranty just expired and quoted me 1.4k to change it. Ridiculous customer service especially when I already voiced out that it isnt working and they didn't bother before the warranty.
Seems like this car camera is very problematic and pretty sure 2.5 years later same problem will occur and they will try to get our money again.
Been experiencing battery drain issues and super hot camera on my ace 2.0. PML SE advice to change and quoted 1400 which is ridiculous.
found on Facebook a place which offers a warranty friendly solution at fraction of PML price. I think it’s bmw_ace_specialist or something. Fix my problem in no time. Sharing with fellow bimmers facing same situation.
