Re: BMS Powerbox

Don't wait... just get a new one...

It really made a world of difference when I did it and mine is already a LCI 525i. It was probably the 1st thing I did when I got my e60.

Re: BMS Powerbox

just get a new one
or else u end up getting bros who bought theirs at 1k and selling u 1/2 price which is almost same as brand new now.
and u need to factor in installation cost.

Any idea where to get it n hw much is it with installation?

Thanx

Re: BMS Powerbox

I did mine at Boss...

Agree with sszone. With installation, your savings won't be a lot comsidering the price of a new one and judging from other 2nd hand prices for other things that I have enquired. :p

Don't wait... The drive is really so much different with the PB. I went from "WTF, this is the famed 2.5l inline 6??!" to "Ahhh.. This is the famed inline 6" and my previous wasn't a light Japanese car :)

Re: BMS Powerbox

I got my power box second hand from a nice bro here with boss receipt
Sold me at 60% off its 1k plus price
New one cost 700 plus now?
So after installation at boss I saved bout 200/300 plus
Lol but when I am @ boss I got a m knob from them as well
Like mojoe said. Yep it's a great ride after that since my e93 is heavy
Good luck!

Re: BMS Powerbox

Hi,

How similar, or different, is it between using the PB and simply activating/using SPORT mode? Just trying to understand how installing the PB is better than simply driving on SPORT mode all the time.

Thanks.

Re: BMS Powerbox

Somehow, i m being told the PB only fits 2006 onwards e60...

Any bros can confirm this?

Re: BMS Powerbox

Anyone bought the latest version powerbox from BMS?
BMS claimed they re-chipped it locally to cater for local driving style & weather. When they start to re-chipped the powerbox?
