316i (F30) Boot Lid Opening

Hi All,

Any idea whether the F30 boot can be open manually? (Not using the remote or the button near to the bonnet cover).

hmm.. maybe u get pml to check for u ??

cos by right, the button, u press/remote/ "kicking" .. the boot will spring open..

prob will go get a check...

So ways to open boot:

1. Remote control (tried OK)
2. Button above the open bonnet (tried OK)
3. "kicking" (Just tried and managed to open FINALLY,OK)
4. Press the button above the license plate (NOT OK)

Comfort access is bullshit. Kick leg until fed up. Even the sales person had troubles using her foot to open the boot

I had the same issue. But I send in to pml and fix it. It's ok now. There is actually a catch on where u give the "shadow" kick. Its in between the exhaust pie and the sensor. Sometime a little touch of the bottom will also do the treat. It works for me. Good luck.

For me the kick to open works every time...maybe once in 50 times it doesn't work.
