Re: Tuning for E90 320i

+1 ....... Else get a nice body kit.

Even if you would really want a tune....get all the hardware in place first ....exhaust, intake etc then tune.

Re: Tuning for E90 320i

i tuned my e90 320i
i drive my buddy e90 325i powerbox

my personal view tuning for NA car is not worth it. turbo car yes. the gain must be at least 35bhp/50Nm then you see the difference of tune and no tune.

for NA car, after tuned feel like a sprint booster ON all the time

Re: Tuning for E90 320i

thanks guys! I do have a sprint booster installed already, m3 body kit done up as well as remus exhaust. Looking for the simota aeroform air intake but can't seem to find :(

for coilover, a bit on the high side but it's something that i will consider in due time ;P

check with fong kim and kian teong.
they got taiwan coilover with 16 clicks for you to set which is equivalent to kw v2
if you are satisfied with your current suspension then leave it as it is

taiwan coilover low $1k and kw low $3k

Re: Tuning for E90 320i

wt_know, check with fong kim and kian teong for the simota?

i don't know if i am satisfied with me current suspension now haha!

Re: Tuning for E90 320i

nope. i meant suspension aka coilover
don't think they got simota.

once you lup simota cf intake (aka gruppem alike), the pick up (aka low end) is affected ...
you only enjoyed it on high speed at least >100kmph
for 320i stock intake box with drop in air filter is the best liao ...
no performance gain but on high speed the intake seems to breathe smoother and sound better

First up: are you driving the car to its stock potential?

Re: Tuning for E90 320i

Oilman, define stock potential :D

I was thinking of doing drop in as well. Thinking whether to go for hurricane or k&n. Read the thread, too lost. My conclusion is hurricane maintenance free but more dirt can go in, k&n need to oil after X distance travelled.

There's a new (maybe not new) brand, Weitec, sister company of KW.

They have a coilover with specs similar to KW v2, think around the range of $2k, but not sure how good it is.

Guess shouldn't be too far off since sister co. of KW, not construct of s/steel for sure..

Re: Tuning for E90 320i

vexxus - thanks for the heads-up, will look into that. one of my colleagues recommend me to go for bc-br coilovers, value for money.

any idea where to get goodridge ssbh? tried searching on the forum, only mentioned they changed but not where they got it from.

Re: Tuning for E90 320i

Thought it's not difficult to Goodridge SSBH, how about eBay.....

BC has been in the market pretty long liao, should be pretty safe, but there's always different opinion with a same particular products especially when it comes to coilover, like play di kum.....

Site sponsor like Boss or Autovox carry Weitec if i'm not wrong, maybe can call to check with them.

Cheers.
