thinking of getting a mercedes taxi.

hi folks

i am thinking of getting a taxi license and to hire a mercedes taxi.i think mercedes e220 going for S$116 per day.

my plan is to breakeven on the daily rental and therefore no need to have a private car thus saving money.

i reckon 3 hour evening shift from monday to sat and off on sun will cover the $116 ?

so will my plan work ?

Does Taxi company pay road tax or is it the taxi driver ?

Taxi company pay the road tax and maintenance fee. I believe 3 hours possible, met a young driver and told me he earn $600 last Saturday

cannot. my dad drives 10 hours to make 180 bucks. nett off cost. to cover 116 in the merc i reckon u need at least 5hours

Why not look to be a "super relief", you work half the day (like 5pm - 5am) and rental is $50~ , also you don't have to worry if you one day you sick then LL must still pay rental, this one can choose not to work.. (and rental is the killer for most taxi hirer)

shouldnt taxi fare go up again due to high coe and high rental cost ? maybe $5 for starting metre and 20 cent for every 100 m ?

wah 180 per day, one month equal 5400.not bad leh.

apply at comfort or LTA,5 modules total 95 hours of school.7 weeks course.

DV gotta work hard drive taxi 12 hours to send kid to enrichment class
get a M5 and sticker to taxi ... sure fully book
also offer sg - genting - sg ... fast service good biz i say one

One mth 5400 is no cpf and no rest day n no 13 months. Pai tan la...

How come Sg no allow privately own taxis...

But more freedom leh. My taxi uncle manage his time well. Everyday at least exercise for 1 hour. Don't need see boss face also. I see him more happier than being an employee
