Speed limit along KPE

Does anyone knw wats the speed limit along KPE? I knw inside the tunnel is 70km/h.. But how about outside the tunnel? Tried google but only mention inside the tunnel leh..Saw a TP wif a speed camera at the bend towards TPE..so guys, watch out!

Thanks for the info. I watch out for the 3-4 cameras in the tunnel but sometimes can go quite fast at the entry or exit. If i am not wrong is 50km/h only.

50km/h?? Confirm? Inside tunnel is 70. Outside tunnel is 50?

Why 70km/h Speed Limit in KPE Tunnel?
The road design parameters of KPE include bends and given the extended length of the tunnel, it is important for motorists to drive safely.

Speeding is a major cause of accidents and accidents in a tunnel environment can potentially be catastrophic. In a road tunnel, accidents leading to congestion could result in accumulation of poisonous gases such as carbon monoxide in an enclosed environment. The situation can be made worse especially in the event of a fire, and this would not be desirable.

It is thus important to keep the speed limit of 70km/h in the KPE tunnel section to minimize the risk of accidents. For the open expressway section of KPE, the speed limit is 80km/h.

Aiyah read wrongly. I tot you refer to the entry to KPE from ECP or PIE. I think KPE outside is either 80 or 90?

The cameras are not hard to spot so maybe they already memorise. Alot of high performance car like to rev inside the tunnel. The sound v shiok. Maybe next time LTA or TP will install more hidden cams inside.

It works! My fren travel inside the tunnel at 85 kanna..but tat was when they just open the KPE la..

It sure damn works...I witnessed a p-plate Picnic kena abt 100m in front of me 2-3 weeks ago..and the flash was dammmmn bright

Certain sections of the tunnel are cam-free.... u can see some drivers speeding away:sneaky:

Yes, you will see TP there from 10am to 4pm once in a while. At times you could spot them near the sengkang exit.
