hi guys,

hopefully collecting my 120i by early ext month, can someone recommend some light mods to improve performance?

looking at improving intake , even ECU upgrade (just not sure anyone here has even tuned a 1 series)

Also PMLl says it will bring in the performance part package for the 1 series... wondering if they will fit my 4 pot , esp for the intake and exhaust ....

From experience, i dont think PML will slap anything that improve preformance, esp for the intake and exhaust. Just the body kit and probably some accessories.

You buy 120i, think still N46 engine. Mod ecu also little power nia. Change engine la. Haha

If u 1 2 mod, u got d wrong engine. IL-6 is easier 2 mod. Best 2 mode 135.

congrats on your new ride! guess you will be one of the first few one series on the roads.

noticed that you have posted a few times asking for info...

1st question to ask yourself is - are you sure that you would want to mod to improve performance? that would effectively void your warranty.

aesthetic mods on the other hand would not...

that's y the so called 'performance package' from PML is confined to suspension, brake kit, sports seats, etc. - nothing that would effectively make your car go faster...

that's y the mod virus usually bites after 3 years of ownership.

however, if you are one of the brave souls who think 'to hell with the warranty' [**APPLAUSE**] there are many people here who would be more than glad to help you out.

Rims.
Bodykit.
Tints.
Exhaust.
Air Filter.
Spark Plugs.
Ignition upgrade @ Ron's.

And the list goes on...

Re: Recommendations for mods for 120i cabrio

aiya, must do something to make it special mah.... ya i also know the 4 pot is not fantastic... but sigh.. fuel prices sky high....plus need the open top for the missus....

anyway, looking to do basic mods first.... air filter, spark plugs, maybe the sprint booster, insulate the intake chamber........ all these 3 won't void warranty hor....
