I would like to highlight my experience when my car was sent for repairs at the East Coast Ctre. My E92 335i had an engine warning light and I sent it in. Handled by Ms Estella, I was informed that the workshop dept. informed her that it's probably due to aftermarket air intake installed in the car. It's obvious that they had not made any checks AT ALL as everything about the car was stock. When I said this she later on reverted and informed me that it's the HPFP but it's not in stock at the moment and I decided to take my car back. Subsequently when I texted her about the HPFP problem, I asked when it'll be in stock and she told me that the parts needs to be brought in from Malaysia. She also informed me that I have to drop by the centre and make payment before the parts can be ordered. When I asked her for the price... she just didn’t reply anymore and left it as it is. I went to a local workshop and the HPFP was replaced in an instant costing me about $700/-. I'm appalled that an outfit like Performance inconvenience its customers to come and make payment before ordering any parts. Not to mention that the parts is even below $1k.

Last week my ride had an ABS warning light on. This had happened before in July and sent to performance but no fault can be found and the error messages were simple erased.

Last week the ABS light came on and as such I sent it in. This time I was informed that the high speed sensor was faulty and needs to be changed. My car was sent in on Monday 28th Nov morning and I decided to leave the car there. Later on the same day Ms Estella called and informed me that the car will be ready the next day. 5mins later she called me again to inform me that the 'special' tools required for the job had been sent for servicing and would only come back on Wednesday morning. I told her I'll leave the car there so that they can start work on it immediately on Wednesday morning. She told me it'll be ok by Wednesday afternoon but when I called in, she informed me that it'll be by 6 o'clock today. She went on to tell me that the rear wheel bearings IS SO DIFFICULT TO REMOVE and this had to be considered as A DIFFICULT JOB ! I am extremely frustrated as I had to make a lot of changes to my schedule. I writing in to understand that is my experience here is an unfortunate episode as a result of the service mentality of a single employee or am is this what I can expect from an agent of a world renowned automotive marque.

that's PML gold star standard .... it's normal.
it's your car still under warranty? if yes, why need to pay to replace HPFP?
if not under warranty, why go back pml for repair?

Wait till your gearbox up lorry. They will tell you stock will come in 1 month and you must leave your car there..then you go to any of the sponsor workshops or Eng Soon and they will tell you come now, ready in 1 day.

My advise is to copy down your millege of ur car, when send in to PML for repair when they tell you, they need a few days to repair or waiting for spare. So you will know they are really waiting for spare or for other things.

Ah another PML Complaint. Think the after-sales directors in both PML and BMW Asia sleeping on their jobs. Nothing has changed for the longest time. Idiots...

On a side note, PML is generally fast at service when the car is out of warranty because they charge for everything. They don't have to submit any claim. Example is my friends old 7 series that they kept saying gearbox normal during warranty and the minute it is out of warranty, they gave a 5 digit figure inclusive of labour and parts faster than Michael Jackson performing moon dance backwards.

When there is a warranty claim, they sit with the thumbs in their assholes. Fact...

same thing happened to my aircon compressor. I sent it in twice telling them aircon not blowing cold air fast enough and the SE even acknowledged that the compressor maybe spoil liao. Both times the ccb mechanic said its not the compressor problem, its either too much gas pumped in or the fan/filter dirty or blocked or need lubrication. Both times the car would be in for 1-2 days and after the bullsh*t by them, the aircon would work fine for about 2-3 weeks then not cold again.

The 3rd time I went there my warranty just over and viola, the mechanic now agreed that perhaps the compressor really needs to be changed and the SE promptly rattled off some numbers including labour and gst blah blah = $3000+

I drove off and went to my workshop, changed it in 3 hours. Total cost $1600 including free fried rice wih extra egg lunch, two packets of Yeo's soya bean drinks and I quietly took away a CF emblem lying around. I hope the workshop manager doesn't come to forum

AD should have replaced the aircon compressor in the first place instead of owner spending $1,600 out of pocket. the sibei high profit margin is UNJUSTIFIED
good luck to potential buyer who think it's fair for AD to charge high profit margin to give peace of mind in warranty claim and provide gold star service ... :shakebon:

PML is like Siri. Only programmed to answer questions in a pre-defined way. Looks like their replies all standard to warranty related issues. When it concerns $$$$$, they suddenly become prostitutes. Ok hitmee and ipoh hor fun will be coming to reply soon after seeing the word prostitutes.

KNNB you all talked so much after another 5000 complaints the forumers will still go back to PML and think WA I CAN SLEEP WELL TONIGHT.....

I got appointment next week with PML to look at my wipers shuddering. I expect them to say my car needs to be exported
