Been meaning to do a journal since i got the car in Jan '06 but neva got round to it - This is my 3rd bm and its turned out to be a bargain , 2 former keepers b4 me (Both Female) And FBMWSH up til me gettin it , when i bought the car it'd done 116k and then i made the decision i wouldn't be taking it back 2 BMW for servicing (Due to lack of funds at the time) .
So i'm starting this journal pretty late into my ownership of this car , but seein as i've got alot planned 4 the future with this car i'm startin now .

When I 1st drove her avin come from two 318i 8v's i was quite impressed , but due to the bad after market wheels it relly wasn't happy with the handling it felt too light comin out of bends , so i dropped on a set of OEM M3 wheels which solved that problem also I purchased a set of M3 mirrors and ///M Badges for front and rear......

So Nxt on my list was de-chrome my kidneys......

Then I Fitted K&N 57i , that didn't stay on for long as i didn't really notice any difference other than increased fuel consumption..........

So after running it over last summer and doing alot of miles , mod wise i hadn't done much so i took a step back and decided to really go to work on it mechanically , I purchased (and fitted) New exhaust , Clutch , Starter etc.

When all that was sorted i made the decision to get rid of the 17's - for a '94 car the body work is quite good and these wheels needed a serious refurb,plus 4 tires and at the time money was tight so i sold them and just put on a mint set OEM 15's (Just in time 4 MOT Dec '06) . I was lucky enough to get a set of OEM Clear back lights from my mates M3 cab just before he sold it (Straight swap 4 my original 1's ?????)

Next Came the interior Mods , I Got ///M seat pins , Chrome - SRS Badge for the steering wheel,switch surrounds and door lock pins . Then i couldn't believe my luck a friend came across a Black leather armrest/centre console in a local scrapyard and got it 4 me 4 £15!!!!!! and theres not a mark on it .
Then i got myself some angel eyes not a good pic but best i've got...............

Went on the hunt for the bumper insert with reverse parking sensors fortunatly found 1 in the 7 th breakers i'd been in so i got the lot inc. rear corners - I already have a back alright kit that i never fitted so I'm gonna wire the original sensors into that ......

So this morning i visited one of my mates and he said he'd got me some 16's if i was interested?? so i thought it was worth a look as anythin would of been betta than my sh!tty 15's !!! really glad i did Pretty Basic E46 16's but suprisingly filled the arches nicer than i thought , every 1 got Pilot primacy on them only covered bout 2k , so when i asked the price got a good deal even took my 15's in px !!!.............

Also Decided to de-lense my lights .......

Decided to make a few changes to my car - I Removed all the ///M stuff of my car - Badges , Gaiters , Number Plate surrounds , Gear knob etc .
I've fitted the angel eyes in my de-lensed lights , got black projector indicators to match the lights , carbon BMW roundels front and rear and steering wheel badge . Also finally got my Flat door mouldings 2day!!! Also got my gasket for my side skirts.

After deciding i was gonna hold off spendin anymore money this month on saturday morning i called into my local breakers and discovered earlier that mornin thay'd broken a 2000 W reg ///M compact sport , so he was selling a half leather interior which he only wanted £100 for so I bought it , No rips in the leather at all and apart from needin a good valetin they're mint !!
Also whilst i was there i noticed he had a ///M-tech steering wheel with air bag I'd seen a similar on in the back of PBMW for sale 4 £275 , so I went back 2day and was absolutely shocked when he said I coud have It 4 £20 !!!!!!!!!!

Went to my local breakers 2day ..........
was told they'd got a LHD 325i coupe in , so i thought it'd b worth a look and came across this fitted in the centre console.....

Opened it up and found it to b a cassette holder , never seen 1 b4 so i got it , obviously cassettes aren't something i use any more so after a bit of messing about i managed to slide all six of them out and fitted it in my car , fits nice under my armrest and alot more storage space......And its a OEM Part.

Also My front splitter arrived 2day hope to paint/fit very soon so pics 2 follow
Managed to get alot done today , Worked up til 8 but it was worth it . Always thought my car sat low on the back but it handled xtremely well , didn't rub the arches even when i tried my mates 18" MV's on so i didn't think anythin was unusual - Until a few weeks back some smart ar*e mechanic was all ova my car tellin me the coils had prob snapped??? , So i checked the height either side and it was the same . Anyway at the weekend bought some boge lowering springs from a Forum Member - I was a little concerned that mayb it'd lower my car too much , so my mate gave me the rear coils from his old 318is he never got round to fitting they where meant to b a 10mm drop from standard . So whilst i was doin the handbrake shoes on the ramp i thought i'd whack these on c wat its like . So when i pulled the old 1's out i found they had definatly snapped and with the new 1's on the car sat 20mm higher than with the snapped 1's on (Even with a 10mm Drop from OEM). don't get me wrong i want the car to b right but I'm slightly disapointed in the handling now . So I cant wait for the boge to arrive and i can drop it some more !! . It now feels more solid but a little 'jacked' up at the rear and also feels like its gonna kick out alot sooner goin into bends at speed , but i can live with that 4 now . Also front splitter fitted stil loks bright but the car needs a clean and it should dull a bit after a couple of weeks in this weather .

Took my car for the MOT 2day - And was very pleased it passed - without any advisory's!

In on the rolling road 2morrow for power run .
Had the iS on the rolling road 2day , It has 123.7bhp - Less than i expected but the bloke explained for a car of its age and mileage (142k) it was good - He reckoned that it has lost 1hp for every year of its life which is normal ??? . He talked thru with me what i can do to improve the hp , the print out showed there was a erratic fuel curve caused by (a.) the afm needs a clean out (b.) The piperX induction kit . He recomended that even tho the piperX sounded nice and the car was quicker on the road IMO , In BHP terms it will be causing the car to lose a bit , so he said the best bet (BHP Wise) was to fit standard airbox and buy a k&n pannel filter for it . He recomends to get the car back to the stated 136hp it should be i should get a stainless manifold and de-cat . So I got a few pics ......

He recomends to get the car back to the stated 136hp it should be i should get a stainless manifold and de-cat . So I got a few pics ......
