how often do you guys change tyres ?

hi folks

how often do you guys change tyres ?
i usually change after 2 years or around 30,000km.
trying to stretch to 3 years or around 40,000km.

how long can tyres last ?

if u driving mark X like me. no need to change. they become slicks after awhile. then will cup corner best.

Road condition
Braking patterns

But 3 years after the manufacture date gotta start thinking of changing liao. May be too hardened to be effective in grip.

Ask yourself - how you drive, what's your car's characteristics (lots of rear-wheel torque), what is the tyre's thread wear (example Japs higher wear rate)..... no standard answer.

Example, RE11 lasted me 8 months on my 335, but PS2 and PSS lasted me way longer than that.

Ask yourself - how you drive, what's your car's characteristics (lots of rear-wheel torque), what is the tyre's thread wear (example Japs higher wear rate)..... no standard answer.

Yeah looks like the Michelins I have are damn long lasting siah... I don't really care lah. Tyres 4 years after mfg date still can use. By then should be really botak liao.

Braking patterns = rarely brakes

about there la. check ur tire markers. but check the wear rate inside...carefully.

one thing i learned. if u like to accelerate out of lights etc. ie short fast sprints..thats when u burn most. tailor ur driving..n ur tyres can last easily another 10k km more. for eg...instead of sprinting off to beat that stupid mark X now.....i just either...cruise to the lights n timed it swee swee....or i drive off split seconds faster. sure beat the mark X. but hope no gto coming thru

Every year or 30000km. Hence I get cheap Eagle F1s. Damn good grip in rain, saved me countless times. Just damn noisy though.

For used car, if tyre age is more than 3 yrs from date of manufacturing, i change also.

When i was on CS3, i was told 30k subsub water, but at 20km during rotation the fellow told me cannot oredi so i change to CS5
as i was told this one confirm 30k no problem. Same thing again, at 20k rotation i was told cannot oredi. So this time i try PSS
since many swear 30k to 35k is normal. I have done about 10k so let's see. But according to my wife... there's half a chance i would end up changing tire whenever i go to the tire shop, so maybe i should just stay away...haha

Anyhow, the threadwear for PSS is 300, CSC5P is 240.

Eagle F1 @ 300, S02 @ 140, AD08 @ 180

Hi, u can try random thumbs up at other cars everyday. If u persist, one day sure will meet the previous owner and u can ask him how long he bought the tyres already
