Help With Deployed Airbag

Dear All,

Greetings from sunny Maldives.

I would like to know if someone can help me with pictures on how to change a steering wheel airbag (sports wheel) on a 2006 BMW E90 320i (right hand drive saloon).

Any help welcome. FYI, there are no BMW service centers in Maldives, so have to do this on my own. The airbag got deployed!

Hi!

I don't think it is quite that easy... i have had the opportunity to see the whole airbag set up before. The det cord that fires off your airbags goes all the way to the back of the car, where the battery is. If it hasn't been fired before, you can swap the steerign wheels easily. If it has been fired before, you will need to replace the det cord, which is single use.

My suggestion is... go to a reputable worshop if you need help with that department.
