BMW owners should have a great interest in the R5 FCX-III tool. The BMW's Check-Engine light can mean any number of things. Sometimes it's alerting you to the real need for a repair, but very often it is merely indicating one of the many, simple (top off your coolant) type problems. Tool resets the Check Engine, Service and Oil Change indicator dashboard lights. Easy to use and includes a booklet containing the fault code chart and instructions for use.

not sure which seat belt light u r talking abt. if it is a fault, the tool should reset the light.

however, since "seatbelt" concerns safety, you'd better get it checked professionally rather than just reset the light.

correction my engine is N42 not N46 (paiseh) is the item just plug & play & it do all the work with having me do anything or..do i hav to do some setting? after plug in & setup...can remove or just hav it plugged in?

basically, u plug this unit into the diagonostic port under your dash, turn on ignition, press a button and wait for fault codes to appear (if any).

can use to reset the oil service and inspection light too.
