Footwell Lights hack job

This started from another thread.
some brothers asked about some details about installing footwell lights for the 523 pre LCI model.
I promised to post some PICS up so pls look at my album.
Apologies if they are a bit scattered, no time to do a step by step manual.
But if you read the posting from our foreign cousins (below) it would be easy to follow.

They routed the driver side cable behind the footwell but I couldnt be bothered ripping up panels so i routed mine up throuh the centre console - see my album pics.

If you want to meet up, I can't this week or next. I'm heading across the border to test out my new sports button (Yeah!) and a holiday. Will arrange when I'm back , sometime after Christmas.

I'll try to answer your queries from abroad but may not be very prompt..

Pls remember to disconnect your battery before commencing the wiring.

You mean the dashboard?
Yeah, not sure why. Anyway, its just on the surface at the moment. Less than 3 yrs to go (scrap) so I don't care.

Oh that's the dash, I thought it was the seat.

Anyway kudos to you for the hack... I wouldn't dare hack around a BMW. The best I could do was to remove all the malaysian lousy job audio wiring and revert the audio system to stock in my wife's Mazda.
