F10 aircon questions

Hi,

my aircon re circulation mode is always turn to off whenever i start my car and i have to turn it to on each time. If not i be smelling exos gas in my car while waiting in traffic light. Anyway to leave it at last chosen selection as i rmb that was what it does in E60. Thanks.

I've the same prob with you when I got my F10.. By default it is set to off by default. So even you set to on manually, each and every time after you switch off ignition for 10 mins. That will be reset to off. Have it switch to auto and so whenever you start car after 10 mins it'll be in auto. Don't ask me why and ask me how cos I've ask PML many times alr. They jus say it's by default and can't be done...

According to coding cheat sheet, recirculation can be set to default on.

I have the exact same issue with this air circulation issue. To make matter worse, there are so many big lorries on kje toward tuas.

Better not fart in the car... It will circulate forever inside your cabin.

You're wrong, even in circulation mode. The air vent will open up every somewhere between 15-30 mins for around 5-10 sec for fresh air. This statement is made by a service tech in PML when I was there asking the same question you'll asking...

set to auto, and it will stay at auto whenever u stop start your engine. but sometimes even on auto, still can smell some fumes from the outside and that is when i will switch to "manual". when i start my engine, the manual selection will be gone and i need to turn it on to auto again.

I think its by design... later you pang pui inside the car recirculate all your passengers will pengsan.

BUT ... My F10 retains its settings leh. It's always in recirculation mode.

How come Leh? I remember e60 also retain last setting.... Now everyday I climb into my car like a pilot needs to take off. Need to close door slowly for the suction. Press start then press the ASS to off. Press twice for the aircon to recirculating mode. Press P to unlock hand brake then push down to D then can move off.....wtffffff
I really must make ass and aircon to remember the last setting.....

Yes. Mine does exactly the same. Best is to find a way to let it stay permanent in manual recirculation mode.

Imagine you do everything liao and before moving off, you remember you forgot to bring down your wallet. Reverse everything, off engine, lock car, go upstairs, come down, unlock car, do the whole procedure again..and then you realise its Saturday and you dun need to work. Song

Hi, Brother, you are right. We all like Pilot, so many steps need to do before car running. Everyday repeat the samething, my wife even don't want drive my car. She can't remeber all those steps......................

it depends. If fart got sound, your fart sensor (aka passenger) will let you know

if no sound and which means sibeh chao type, your nose will be the sensor unless u sibeh enjoy smelling yr chao pui
